Dr. Charles Rubin is a strong believer in educating patients and their families and involving them in the decision process in a meaningful way. Dr. Rubin works to find every option for the patient and then carefully chooses the best option for that patient. He has worked to uncover the basis for cancer through laboratory research aimed at identifying and dissecting the chromosomal abnormalities that occur in childhood cancers. An active researcher, Dr. Rubin is involved in clinical trials for childhood cancer treatments. He has published numerous articles in top medical journals on his work in leukemia, lymphoma, retinoblastoma and other diseases. He collaborates with physicians around the nation through the Children's Oncology Group, the Pediatric Blood and Bone Marrow Consortium and the National Cancer Institute.
