James Foydel, MD earned his medical degree from Wayne State University Medical School Michigan. He completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at New York University Hospital. His subspecialties include pain medicine, sports medicine and clinical neurophysiology.

Dr. Foydel has been privileged to receive education and training from multiple universities such as University of Michigan and Harvard, as well as several countries including Canada and Germany. He was recruited by Northwestern University to serve as Medical Director of The Spine Center and after ten years, entered private practice with Northshore Physicians Group. Dr. Foydel is on the Medical Staff of Saint Francis Hospital
