Markus Chwajol, MD, earned his medical degree from the State University of New York (SUNY), Downstate College of Medicine. He completed residencies in Neurosurgery at Montefiore Medical Center, The University Hospital of Albert Einstein College of Medicine; and Roosevelt Hospital, New York.
Additionally, Dr. Chwajol completed a fellowship in Cerebrovascular and Skull base Neurosurger at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Minimally invasive and complex spine and brain surgery are procedures he performs. He treats patients who have cerebral vascular diseases of the brain, including aneurysms, AVMs, Moyamoya disease, cavernous malformations, ischemic disease of the brain, as well as other brain and spine conditions.
Dr. Chwajol has been published in numerous journals and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Neurological Surgery and Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
